General
Quasi-Insurance Institutions.
A term sometimes applied to government institutions created to carry out
social insurance arrangements that have some, but not all, the characteristics
of insurers. An example is the United States Department of Health, Education,
and Welfare.
Quick Assets.
Assets that are quickly convertible into cash.
Quid Pro Quo.
Latin for "this for that," or "one thing for another."
In insurance it could refer to the consideration in an insurance contract
which calls for the exchange of values by both parties to the contract
in order for it to be a valid contract. See also Consideration.
