Does a PPO plan typically provide maternity coverage?
This question is a major concern for expectant moms-to-be.
While each plan is different, many PPOs offer maternity coverage
on either a standard or an opt-in basis. HMOs often provide
more comprehensive and less expensive maternity coverage than
do PPOs. PPOs, on the other hand, generally require a waiting
period before benefits “kick in” - the length of
this waiting period can vary from plan to plan.
